A riotous unleashing of creative energy, Louie’s Meadow was inspired by the whimsy of Raoul Dufy’s legendary artworks. Hand-painted from life using loosely applied brush pens and gouache, its dancing poppies and daisies were engineered into a large-scale repeat for an impactful burst of colour. With floral shapes painted first and outlines added last, the design serves as a poetic analogy to the traditional screen-printing technique through which it comes to life.
